As of today parents on Income Support who's youngest child is over the age of 12 are no longer entitled to it, they have to instead claim Job Seekers Allowance and be seen to be attempting to get a job, IE going to interviews, applying for jobs etc etc. No this angers me that it has taken so frigging long, as a young, single, full time employed, tax paying citizen I am entitled to absolutely nothing, i pay for any medication, the dentist, i have no help with paying my rent...or anything for that matter, i work cos i can, they seemingly don't work cos they don't have to. i have real issues with that kind of behaviour, i was always taught to work and that anything else is something to be ashamed of, now of course i don't refer to every person that is on receipt of some kind of benefit i am talking about those who haven't worked for however many years due to no reason (IE you pop a kid out and sit around to have another one to pay the bills) and that isn't fair on anyone. Is it any wonder that our economy is in such a state.
I can tell you now Darling, I will not be spending my way out of this bloody recession, I'm going to, for the first time in my life, save money, and no, not in one of your banks, I'm keeping it in old faithful, a building society. No THAT is being a rebel, i see myself as a renegade for the hard working minority.
